Can I run Python Script from the Picker?

In the picker it’s calling the fkik scripts, can I make it run some custom scripts such as keying a animation control?

It’s doable!
But it’s a bit hidden. When you are in Edit mode, right click on the icon and click Set Objects (adjust list)

Here you normally have a node string in each line, but if you start the line with $, you can write python code.

So for example the line could look like this:

$cmds.select('[NAMESPACE]armGlobal_l_ctrl')

He will substitute [NAMESPACE] with the actual namespace that’s specified in the top of the UI.

Keep in mind the code needs to be in one line. So if you have more lines, just put them in one line, and if needed separate the python commands with ;

It is working now thanks!

It was an adventure :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: but works now

I made it import another function

$from kangarooAnimation import keysetter; keysetter.setKeys('[NAMESPACE]')

because I cannot put the script in just one line, is too complex for that

Hehe, good to hear that!

Originally this $ thing wasn’t intended for other custom scripts. But great that it still works!
Maybe in future we’ll simplify this process a bit more so we can paste whole scripts into that UI
