# Hand and foot scaling issue

Hi Thomas,

I keep encountering an issue with the “Scale UF” attribute found on wrists and ankles. Both show the same behaviour, where it does scale the hand or foot, but messes up the fingers and toetips. In case of the hand, it looks like the fingers scale, but get an offset to the center.  
It looks like something is not evaluating correctly, as when I move the limb and then undo it, the fingers snaps into the correct, scaled position.

Hi Arnout,

If the behavior snap back and forward between correct and broken, that sounds like there’s a cycle in your rig. I would try stripping out things from the rig one by one just to see what might cause it. Could even be something unrelated to the hands/feet, such as face or any costume.
