I’m using the mouth splines. The bottom lips attach to the jaw movement. But I do not seem to get the same behaviour with the jawTop controller and the up lips. Is this intended or do I miss a setting.
What do you mean by the jawTop ctrl? Is that something you added?
It is a template part that comes with the bird rig, probably a duplicate of the regular jaw upside down. So I suppose usually lips don’t get attached to it. How would you go about connecting something like that?

Unfortunately no, that has always been a limitation.
the way i usually solved it is with a tweaker ctrl in a post skincluster. Or the faceBend ctrls can do that behaviour, too.
When i had a wolf with a long nose that really needed an fk in the upper mouth, i avoided the splines in the mouth rig and solved it with blendshapes
Alright, I might see if it’s doable with a custom Python script to attach the lip splines to the jaw Top.
